About me
My name is Maria and I was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on a warm Sunday in April 1985.
I’m the oldest of three girls, raised by my loving mother. I grew up on the country side and had a wonderful childhood with lots of adventures. I remember how we often, several times a year, went on road trips in Europe. I’ve been to most of the european countries and I remember the warm summer days sitting in the back of the red Opel Kadet with my little sister and how much fun we had.
I remember how we almost always had a cat that had kittens, and I remember running around in the garden while the sprinklers were on. My sister and I, there’s 2 years between us, we had so much fun. We’re each others best friends and we shared the biggest room in the house. I remember how my sister would always call the male ‘barbie’ doll; Kurt, and how I would always be more tidy with the barbie dolls hair than she was. It was fun times!
When I was 11, my baby sister came along! It was a dream come true, a real living doll! I quickly discovered that she wasn’t a doll and that opened a whole new adventure. I was in love with that little girl from the first second and every single second of her life ..
At age 18, I decided to concour the world. Or, at least I moved out on my own. The last 8 years I’ve moved around a lot, trying to figure out my role in life. I ended up with a degree in hospitality and tourism management (whatever that is) and I felt like I knew what I could contribute with to the world.
Back in 2006, I decided to book a trip to New York. My first time ever out of Europe, first time on a plane. And first vacation I took on my own. So, I went for a week and it was love at first sight!
Now, almost five years later I’ve spent so much time in New York that whenever I make a trip, my friends doesn’t wish me a nice holiday, but tells me to get ‘home’ safely!
This blog is about the important steps I’ve taken to make a life in New York a reality as well as all kinds of nonsense…
Happy reading!

Jamn’ jeg lever skam i bedste velgående! Traf bare en beslutning om endeligt at slette min FB, ikke blot deaktiverer den.
